![]() Long story short - this is a phenomenal setup, it changed Hungary from one of my most hated tracks, to one of most sucessful. In performance index my car was 7th, pretty much equal to McLaren and Renault, and quite a distance behind Merc, Ferrari, Red Bull and Racing Point. At that moment I had 3rd worst aero in the field, 4th best chassis, and 5th best engine. Season 1 My Team mode, Mercedes engine, 100% race distance, 100 AI. The entire race I was just a bit quicker than guys behind me, and at the end I was about 10s in front. I managed to pull outside od DRS range and that was pretty much it. I made hell of a start and kept my lead, and just went away. My best time of the weekend was about 1.14.3 in Q3, that gave me pole position, 0.18s clear of Bottas. Not anymore, with this setup I could keep strong pace all race long and not worry about burning tires. Tire wear, and most importantly, tire temperatures were'nt a problem either - in every previous game I was struggling a lot with keeping left front cool, softs were unusable after 3-4 laps, when temp jumped skyhigh. I could throw the car into turns 4 and 11 like no tomorrow, attack the chicane at half throttle without spinning. But not anymore, thanks to your setup, which is absolutely brilliant! Car feels so planted, so stable, it's mindblowing. In every single Codemasters F1 game, since 2010, I just can't drive on this goddamn track properly. Hungaroring was always my weakest cirquit on the calendar. Thanks for also including the modifications that can be made and how they affect the ride. Hungary is usually one of my least favorite tracks because the setup can be quite finicky. Update 4/2: Changed Method to include 3 best race lap times from F1Laps, removed Aero Score in the table, and sorted table in alphabetical order for ease of use.Team: Mercedes/Multiplayer Car (should work on most cars though)ĭifferential Adjustment Off Throttle: 60%ĭifferential Adjustment Off throttle: 50% ![]() I recorded their Aero Score for the track, calculated the average Aero Score between the 3 best times, and see where this average would fall based on the Aero Score ranges. I then looked at the 3 best dry race lap times from F1Laps for each of the tracks and looked at their setups. These ranges are: 0 - 8.99 = Maximum Top Speed I then created ranges where Aero Scores can fall into. The Aero Scores for each of the presets are as follows: Maximum Downforce = 21 I then added these parameters for each preset to come up with what I call an Aero Score. Method: I started by strictly looking at the presets front wing aero and rear wing aero parameters for each of the presets. If a race is anticipated to be wet, my recommendation is to go 1 or 2 presets to the left. Note: These setups are for Dry conditions. That time is now.Īnyways, here is the new and improved table: Track I didn't want to update the list until I got F1 2021, but I ended up getting an Xbox Series X at launch and decided to just wait for it to arrive on Game Pass. ![]() I previously made the post with the recommended setups for noobs or people who don't have time to fiddle with setups and just want to pick the right preset in F1 2020. 4.2 Experimental Evaluation Index and Experimental Setup In this paper.
